Using TrainKit
LightCyan operates TrainKit and lightcyan.tech. These terms govern your access to the website and support services. “We”, “us” and “our” refer to LightCyan.
Using the website or support services means you accept these terms. If you act on behalf of an organization, you must have authority to accept them for that organization. If you do not accept them, do not use these services.
The desktop application is governed by its software licence. Any separate licence or service agreement supplied with a product governs that product.
Software and content licences
The open-source TrainKit desktop application is distributed under the MIT licence. You may use, copy, modify and distribute it on the conditions set out in that licence. These terms do not change those rights.
Models, dependencies and website assets retain their respective licences. LightCyan’s names and branding are separate from the software licence; it does not grant a right to present your work as an official LightCyan product.
Your responsibilities
Use our services lawfully and respect other people’s rights. Do not attempt unauthorized access, distribute malicious code, disrupt the website or misuse support channels. We may restrict access to protect the service or respond to violations of these terms.
You are responsible for the images, instructions and models you use, including the permissions needed to process or send them to a provider. Keep API credentials confidential and manage access to your provider accounts.
Check generated captions and other AI results before relying on them. Results can contain errors and may not suit your intended use. Keep backups of files that matter to you.
Third-party services
TrainKit connects to services including Anthropic and OpenAI, and the website links to GitHub and other download sources. These providers operate independently of LightCyan. Their terms, licences and privacy practices apply to your use of their services.
When you connect your own API key, requests go directly to that provider and usage is charged to your provider account. Stopping a job does not reverse work or charges a provider has already incurred.
Review the applicable Anthropic commercial terms or OpenAI services agreement. Contact the provider for questions about its billing or account access.
Privacy
Our privacy policy explains how website information, support correspondence, local files and cloud requests are handled. It also describes your choices and how to contact LightCyan about personal information.
Disclaimers
The website and support services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, LightCyan disclaims express and implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or compatibility with every device, model or provider. The desktop application’s warranty terms are set out in its MIT licence.
Limitations of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LightCyan is not liable for lost profits, lost data or indirect, consequential, incidental or special damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the website or support services.
These limits do not exclude liability or consumer rights that the law does not allow us to exclude. Liability for the open-source desktop software is governed by its MIT licence.
Changes to these terms
We may update the website, integrations and these terms. Revised terms are published here with an updated date. We will highlight material changes on the website or through another appropriate channel.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Updates to these terms do not revoke rights granted by the MIT licence.
